With inventive re-imaginings of the reggae-splashed hook-heavy soul popularized by acts like Sean Paul and Sean Kingston in the early half of the 21st century's first decade, Virgin Island-born singer Iyaz swiftly built up a hearty cult following on MySpace. Kingston, in the process of forming his own Time Is Money label, stumbled upon Iyaz's site and snapped up the 21-year-old singer as the maiden signee of his new imprint. Iyaz's debut single, "Replay," an iPod name-checking musical stew adding splashes of classical and electronica to his usual island pop, soared to the upper regions of the Billboard Hot 100 in November 2009.

Iyaz was born in 1987 to a musical family. He grew up in Tortola in the British Virgin Islands. Iyaz studied digital recording at New England Institute of Technology."Island Girls" achieved radio success in the Caribbean. Sean Kingston found Iyaz through his Myspace page in 2008 and later signed him to a recording contract with Time Is Money/Beluga Heights. Michael Nguyen introduced him to producer and Beluga Heights head J.R. Rotem. He released "Replay" in 2010, which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and at #1 in many other territories, including the United Kingdom. His second single "Solo" was released in February 2010, and peaked at #32 on the Hot 100. He also took part in recording the Haiti charity single, "We Are the World 25 for Haiti". His debut album, Replay was released in 2010, and he was also featured on Charice's single "Pyramid". In an interview with HitQuarters, Rotem described Iyaz's creative perfectionism:

"Where as others might work on several songs in one day, he might sit there and work on one song for days. The end result that he gets is usually an absolute gem, so heartfelt and genuine."

Iyaz also appeared on the fourth season of Hannah Montana, Hannah Montana Forever and made a song with Miley Cyrus called "Gonna Get This", which is featured on the Hannah Montana Forever soundtrack album. He is also featured in the upcoming film 21 Coconuts. Iyaz had a part in Big Time Rush's song "If I Ruled the World". Iyaz is now working on his second album which is titled "Aurora" but there is no release date to be confirmed.

In 2011, Iyaz released "Last Forever" with David Guetta as the producer,[6] and its follow-up, "At Last". Iyaz was featured on New Boyz's single "Break My Bank" and Aon's "My Girl" as well as Demi Lovato's song "You're My Only Shorty".

In 2012, Iyaz did a duet called You're My Only Shrty with Demi Lovato, which is in her third studio album, Unbroken. He released a song with Travie McCoy titled "Pretty Girls" and months later in the year He released "My Heart Broke".

In 2013, Iyaz released another single, "Da Da Da", among with other songs; "Congrats", "What Is this Feeling" and "Too Sexy". Rumours have it He is working on his second album with Adam Levine, among others.

In 2014, Iyaz was featured in Jayceon's single "For Your Love". Iyaz made a new cover song of Chris Brown's Loyal named "Comin' For Ya", followed by another cover months after of Magic!'s song "Rude" which he shared on SoundCloud. Iyaz tweeted on Twitter in December he was releasing a brand new hit single, "One Million" and released a snippet of the song on SoundCloud. Iyaz released "One Million" on Itunes in Japan alone on the 12th of December 2014.

In 2015 Iyaz's Latest single "One Million" dropped on Late 2014 was a rising hit. The Return of Iyaz raised up his fans and new people to his new music. It has been a long time since he's music was global, for the past 3/4 years his music been on the low but now Iyaz is back with a brand new vibe. Iyaz tweeted in Jan/Feb that his single was gonna be on iTunes Worldwide on Valentine's Day (14 February 2015).

Iyaz, real name Keidran Jones, is a 22-year-old singer, songwriter, and rapper who was born in the US Virgin Islands but raised in the British Virgin Islands

Soon after, Iyaz was signed to Kingston's newly-formed production company, Time Is Money Entertainment
Iyaz's first love is the music business but his other great love is motorcycles whhich rides freqently around Florida as he he now lives in Ft Lauderdale
