Weezy Treats New Orleans Fans to Surprises at Hornet’s Arena

lil wayne Weezy Treats New Orleans Fans to Surprises at Hornets ArenaNew Orleans jam-packed Hornets Arena went wild when Lil Wayne took to the stage and kicked off the proceedings with the line: “It’s good to be home, New Orleans.”

Fresh from concluding his ‘I Am Still Music’ countrywide tour, Weezy and all his tour mates including Porcelain Black, Mix Master Mike & Travis Barker, and Ricky Ross took turns to treat the perplexed crowd of Cash Money CEO’s hometown. Later on in the show DJ Khaled also made a surprise appearance.

Wayne started off with an intense performance of “A Milli” and “Got Money,” then he called out DJ 45 and asked him to present something in honour of his native city. He then launched into his tribute to the rappers that have recently died and paid his respect in his trademark lyrical style.

After Minaj vacated the stage, the audience was given a full dose of Young Money stars, as Jae Millz, Gudda Gudda and Mack Maine all teamed up with their record label boss to rip apart ‘Every Girl.’  Wayne remained in the limelight, but his minions departed so Ace Hood could come forward for ‘Hustle Hard’- his duet with the Young Money founder. It was then time for Weezy to take a much deserved break, so Lil Chuckee, Lil Twist, Gudda, Mack and Millz combined to spit ‘Bedrock.’ Cash Money CEO Birdman then made an appearance to deliver a sizzling version of his hit track ‘Fire Flame (Remix).’

Then came the biggest surprise of the night, as Wayne invited his friend and rising star Drake to perform “Miss Me” and “Forever.” The Canadian actor rapper capitalised this opportunity to speak to his fans and rubbish media reports that he was looking to quit the Young Money clan for new pastures.

In an emotional little speech Dreezy said that New Orleans is the place where his rap career truly blossomed and there is no way he is leaving them all. He then turned towards Wayne and said that he is like a brother to him.

Wayne’s hotly anticipated LP Carter IV is scheduled to be released on May 16 and Drake made sure that the fans knew the release date by making them repeat it to conclude the concert.
