The Boys & Girls Club of Los Angeles was presented with the opportunity of a lifetime, as they got to meet with superstars, rapper Jay-Z and Miami Heat basketball player LeBron James.
This happened because the two stars’ joint charity ‘Two Kings’ and Coca Cola’s Sprite decided to renovate the kids’ gym, which will also be decorated by one of Mr. Cartoon’s wall paintings.
Two Kings and Sprite aim to renovate more than 100 parks, basketball courts and fields across the US, as part of ‘Coca-Cola’s Sprite Spark Parks Project.’ Continue reading Jay-Z and LeBron James Organize Charity Event for the Third Straight Year »
Not that she was short of any, but Kelly Rowland has gotten a huge motivation boost on the recently released ‘Motivation’ video, thanks to Lil Wayne’s appearance on the track. Rowland has done her trademark work on the song, singing in her usual sexy style, while Weezy has added his personal touch to make the collaboration sound more ‘urgent and urban,’-as according to the R&B singer herself.
Speaking in a post-release interview with MTV, Rowland said that she and Wayne go way back. The idea to do a joint venture came when Rowland was in the studio with music producers Jim Jonsin and Rico Love. When she told Rico that she is looking to do a sexy track, he discussed the idea with Jonsin and then the whole ‘Motivation’ plan came together. She then met Wayne at a basketball game and he quickly absorbed the idea after Rowland briefed him up about the potential collaboration. According to Chris Brown, the meaning of the title of his new album ‘F.A.M.E.’ is ‘Forgiving All My Enemies’ or ‘Fans Are My Everything.’ However, out of the two suggested meanings by Brown, the former should be scrapped, as judging by his incredible outburst at today’s ‘Good Morning America’ show, it seems as if not everyone has been forgiven by him just yet.
Brown’s GMA incident could not have happened at a worse time as not only his new album is being released all over the US today, but the day’s other major offering by the singer is the video premier of his song ‘Beautiful People.’
Later today he was scheduled to appear at MTV’s “The Seven,” but due to the morning show fiasco earlier in the day, he decided against showing up at the MTV program. His video however, was released as per schedule. Continue reading Chris Brown Releases ‘Beautiful People’ Music Video »
Rapper Nicki Minaj frequently unveils new alter-egos for different songs and this is exactly what she has done again for ‘Where Them Girls At’ – her collaboration with dance music great David Guetta. Since she was working with a mainstream dance musician for the first time, she went for a never-used-before hybrid theme, which in her own words is a mixture of her previously used personas Nicki and Roman.
In a recent interview with MTV News, Minaj said that she will be going with an English accent and that, while it may sound weird to some, she isn’t the kind who gets disturbed by what others think about her. The Trinidad & Tobago-born raptress, who moved to the US during her teens, said that she wanted to give the song her trademark rebellious touch, and therefore she came up with the new hybrid character. She also revealed that her lyrics will contain some of the most insane and crazy things she has ever said in a song, but it will all be about having fun and good time. The clip features Ambrosius hanging out with a charming man who is well-liked by everyone in his company. However, as soon as his sexual orientation becomes clear, all who previously enjoyed the man’s company suddenly start acting completely differently towards him, which eventually leads to that man committing suicide.
