Friday, December 23rd will for sure be an exciting day for Nine Inch Nails fans, as their newest EP will drop worldwide for fans to listen to and download. This will have been the first release from the band since 2013, which was a studio album entitled Hesitation Marks. Cutting it close to the end of the year, this EP comes after a promise made by Trent Reznor that the band would put out new material before the end of the year had come. With eight days left before 2017, Not The Actual Events seems like they’re playing it pretty close to the chest!
The five track EP was recorded by Reznor and Atticus Ross. In addition to being released through a number of modern mediums, the album will also be available via 180-gram one sided vinyl, with pre-orders open via the band’s website. Reznor also goes on to state that the EP tells a story, and that five songs was the absolute perfect length to do so.
Within this release also comes the notion of a limited edition vinyl of the 1999 album The Fragile. This will include 27 tracks, with instrumental and alternative versions of classic songs, as well as a few goodie ‘unreleased’ tracks. This is paired with what Reznor states as mastered audio, recreation of artwork, and some surprises along the way. Many things that won’t be noticed, but mattered to the band above all else.
Not The Actual Events is sure to be a classic album that continues the legacy of NIN, as they’ve continued to produce quality music that traces back to the late 1980’s.

Is there a KISS reunion tour on the horizon? According to Ace Frehley, there is a slight possibility of it happening! Ace stated in an interview today that he is entertaining an idea that KISS could jump back on the reunion tour bus with him on it, however would be ‘fine’ if it didn’t happen. Other frontman Paul Stanley was only fuel to the fire of this news, as he was a guest feature on Ace’s solo album.
He told an interviewer that the relationship between them was never as poor as it was made out to be, or perceived by the public eye. Throughout his founding of the band, Ace was in the band from 1973 to 1982, leaving and then returning over a decade later, only to leave again.
Ace tells his interviewer that while the band DOES have disagreements and things are often said, they’ve always been friends with him, just like he’s always been a friend to them. Adding into the fact that there were times in which the members didn’t talk, they can’t overlook the fact that they created something that above all else, withstood the ultimate test of time.
“Rumors are rumors” he says and that he ‘hasn’t been contacted’ If it could be done in a way that would end the career of KISS as a whole in a great way, he’d like to do it.
“Those guys run the show these days. I’m doing my thing and they’re doing their thing. If it happens it would be great. If it doesn’t I’ll be fine and they’ll be fine”, he says.
What do you think? Would you like to see KISS reunite one more time? What would you do if you were able to see them one last time?!
Following a tragic death, an arrest has finally been made in the death of 3 Doors Down guitarist Matt Roberts. Roberts, just 38 when he died, died from a prescription drug overdose in a hotel just outside of Milwaukee. Roberts served as the lead guitarist of the band from their inception in 1996 until 2012 when he left the band for health reasons.
During his departure, Roberts stated that this was due to performing near 300 dates per year, and the band having exacerbated health and circulation issues that he was currently dealing with. He continued to mention that the band would always hold a special place in his heart, but needed to take this time off for his own health.
Police have now made the arrest of a doctor who was reportedly in connection with Roberts prior to his death. The alleged physician is believed to be from Alabama, a ways away from where his death was confirmed in West Bend, Wisc. Illegal drug distribution has been the primary charge in the case. Throughout his time as physician, Snellgrove (the accused) prescribed Roberts 5 different controlled substances in the names of different individuals, but (police) also have stated that the intended recipient of the drugs were all for Roberts.

The Rolling Stones will have been invited to perform for Donald Trump’s Presidential Inauguration in January.
If this offer is true, it’s really hard to believe, given a history of hatred between The Donald and and the Rolling Stones. But maybe Trump is trying to make nice, and there’s an opportunity for the Stones to unify warring factions.
Rumor has it Trump could be paying the Stones upwards of $5 million dollars, probably more since during the campaign, Justin Bieber was reportedly offered $5 million to play a Republican event. That offer was declined, following rumored manager Scooter Braun. Must be nice to turn down 5 Million dollars huh?
There are certainly other artists that have been supportive of a Donald Trump presidency. But the Stones are not only popular, they’re in great performing shape with the 73-year-old Jagger able to dance effortlessly on stage.
The Rolling Stones have not responded to an inquiry regarding the reported invitation but you can be sure we’ll let you know if they decide to pull the trigger.
The most awarded female artist of all time, Whitney Houston, passed away Saturday, February 11th, 2012.

As the investigation continued, it became clear that Whitney did not die from drowning but instead from an overdose of Xanax and other prescription medications mixed with alcohol.
