It seems that most of Lady Gaga’s inventions these days stir up controversy, even if she didn’t mean to do it. Her latest music video ‘Judas’ has a lot of biblical content, and there is every chance that religious enthusiasts may start debating the lyrics’ intended meaning in the near future, but the singer herself maintains that it is not an anti-religion video and she never meant to hurt religious groups.
Soon after its highly anticipated release, Gaga explained, “[Judas] is not meant to be an attack on religion. I respect and love everyone’s beliefs.” During the video’s promotion campaign, she tried to clarify on multiple occasions that her song is not an attack on any religion. Instead, she suggested that “it’s meant more to celebrate faith than it is to challenge it.”

If there is any one in the music industry who can completely steal the limelight of an event, it is Lady Gaga. In early May, she registered herself in attendance at the Cannes Film Festival in order to perform on the French TV program ‘Le Grand Journal.’
Before the actual show, the Mother Monster was seen in a bright leather vest with the words ‘Born This Way’ printed on its back. On top of the highly fashionable vest, she dyed her hair in multiple colors to leave the rest of the A-list celebrities looking all alike, giving the audience more of a ‘Gaga and the others’ type of theme. Death Cab for Cutie had long said that they want to revisit their roots through their next album, even though they are not entirely sure where their actual home is. What the band wanted to convey through their new album ‘Codes and Keys’ was the thought that home could be the physical place where we live, or the space in between our ears or anything else. After all, every person is such a large collection of ‘memories’ that a connection with the past can be made every second and hence, the band’s concept of the home comes into play. Just a week has passed since the full release of Lady Gaga’s latest music video ‘Judas’ and her critics and fans are still busy in gathering their thoughts. The video star Rick Gonzalez, who played the role of Jesus, is also going through the same feelings and in an interview with MTV News earlier today, he said that his time with Team-Gaga was surreal.
The actor recalled, “I’m sitting in my house, I get a call from my manager, [and] she says, ‘Lady Gaga wants you to be in the video.’ I’m like, ‘Oh, cool. Lady Gaga who?’ and she’s like, ‘Rick, the Lady Gaga.’ And I’m like, ‘Wow, OK.’” Gonzalez admitted that the first thing that came to his mind was how does Lady Gaga know about him? It is rare to see an award-winning song completely changed for national campaign, but it turns out that Cee Lo Green has done exactly that by revamping his famous song ‘Forget You’ to make it fit for a good social cause.
The Gnarls Barkley member recently associated himself with Duracell’s “Power of Those Who Protect Us” campaign, arranged for the benefit of National Volunteer Fire Council, which is a social service organization that represents the rights of voluntary rescue workers, EMS personnel and fire fighters. The new version of the highly successful track has been named ‘Thank You,’ and it can be downloaded for free from Duracell’s Facebook page.
