Hopefully this will spark some discussion - get our blood pumping here in the forums. =)

I'll start ....

I work from home here in North Carolina.

A) I work freelance for one company that does website design, mainenance, and hosting.  I'm supposed to take over ownership of that company sometime in the near future.

B) I started my own company doing the same as above. The two will merge eventually.

C) I also do Internet Marketing, mainly affiliate marketing.

Dream job: Do the above on a limited basis, but make enough in passive income so I don't need to worry about working just to meet the monthly bills, food, etc.  Hubby and I don't need much, so it shouldn't be too hard.  Right?  LOL

Ok - Your turn ....

Hi Barbara!

First and foremost I am a full time student.  I decided to go back to college and get my degree in Psychology.  Found out that I like it so much that I am going to move forward and receive my Masters in 2013.

Right now, I work full time for a local ticket broker.  I've been doing this for a little over 2 years now.  Awesome job and awesome boss because he allows me to do school work while I am at work.  Not to mention that I get to listen to this station while I work!  Money can be good but when the season is slow, like right now, I barely make enough to pay bills.

This is why I work seasonally at a flower shop.  Luckily, the spring season is busy for florists and I am able to make the money I lack from the ticket broker.  I've been in the floral industry for 13 years now and I can't seem to get away...LOL!

My dream job would be one where I enjoy what I do, doesn't require a lot of my time, and I still make good money.  I don't know if Psychology is going to do that for me but I hope so because I am planning on working for the VA.  I come from a military family and I would like to give back to say, "Thanks!"

Hey barbara.....

My dream job? well, it sounds kind of silly BUT.. i'll begin telling you anyways!! I want to be a Radio Promotor/Record rep! It's basically independentally or, under a record label with the responsibility of promoting New tracks for artists to radio stations for airplay! It's such a hard industry to get into and considering the music industry isn't the way it used to be back then, the jobs are very scarce. But basically my dream and everyday I try to pursue it! Not a lot of Radio promoters look at anyone without experience either, which is even harder yet!  I've gotten a few leads through networking but it seems that everyone is very quiet when it comes to sharing information! SO basically, I'll never get there.. but one can dream right LOL

Look into taking a couple of communication classes at your local community college and then see about interning at a radio station.  If you get to know the in's-and-out's of radio you will know more about what is needed to pursue your dream.

The best thing you can do is get an internship and then look into being a producer for a radio show.  It's a lot of hard work but its worth it if it get you in the right direction.

Good luck!

Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate it! How are you so familiar with Radio? Are you a Radio Producer? Getting an internship is the hardest thing, because unless you are wanting to be a broadcaster, NO radio stations will take you serious! So, it super sucks!  I know that I might have to relocate due to the radio jobs in b.c being so scarce. :( *sigh*.. I'll keep on trying, thanks so much for your input - It's much appreciated :)

My dream job would probably be becoming a lawyer or maybe even a fashion designer... maybe even being able to become an author.

I dont have a dream job........but if I did, I would choose to be GOD ALMIGHTY!  Then I would make sure everyone would get what they wanted.  And if they were to get bored I would make them forget and start over until foreva.  This would never ever end the same to I know I would not get bored.

Well, I am still a student in high school, but my dream job is to be a singer, or a vet. Although I am a good singer, I know that living in this small town, that I will never make it. I sing and write songs in my free time, and I have 2 jobs in delivering, and I also do reflexology. I am a very busy 15 year old o.0 but still find time to relax with my music. And I know, some are asking what reflexology is... You can message me back, and I'll be glad to tell you!
