I sent my referral link to a couple people who were using it at their work and today their IT staff blocked this site completely saying the computers of those using it got infected with viruses and that this site is a known problem....

What gives Jeff? Seems like viruses or issues pop up on here much more often than any other website I visit.

What's up with these ads consistently being an issue and an IT department black listing your site?

I can't control the ideals of an IT depaortment and if they want to block a site, they have that right to do that.  We monitor our site for any viruses and there aren't any on the site.  A while back, the site was hacked and we caught it immediately and fixed the problem.

Google itself also monitors this site and would notify us immediately if there was a problem.  There are no problems and no viruses on the site.

My final thought is that this site does not "consistantly" have a problem.  That might be a little harsh.

Once in a while a bad advertiser slips through the crack but we usually catch it very fast.  There hasn't been an issue on this site for many months.

Obviously ads pay for this site and that's how we provide the free content.  There are no plans to change that business model at this time.

I do not think that it is consistent either but our computers at work caught a virus from this site the other day.  This is in addition to the virus that our computers caught a few months back from this site.

I love this website and I understand the company's concept with advertisers, but the virus' are a pain when it is caught on a company computer.  This is how I listen to the station because it is the only online radio that has a variety of music for all listeners.

One virus is too many. Maybe Jeff needs a better filter for what ads are pushed through the site and some sort of screening process before they hit the servers. A better process for screening ads for viruses/spyware is needed.

if you feel you've gotten a virus or something else from this site, send me all the information about it.  We already check the site by the minute for viruses and other malware and if anything comes up, it's eliminated.  What your program might think is a virus, might be a simple tracking cookie we use to make sure you earn points.  You can't have it both ways.  If you think you recieved something from the site, take a screen shot of the offending ad and any and all information concerning the ad and I'll take the appropriate action.

Sorry for this But Jeff Doesn't need a Virus filter, YOU! need a really good antivirus, because you can get virus just without open any webpage. from the 1st second you are connected to internet YOU are exposed to any kind of attacs, "If your car get's out of oil don't blame the seller, blame yourself as you do not have the caution of take care when the indigator turned on". Just my oppinion (BTW) 2 years listening .977 and 0 viruses came to any of my (home/office) Computers.

McAfee Site Advisor disagrees with you...977 is safe.
