Rick Nelson was his brother David's best man when David married June Blair in May 1961.
Rick was ranked #2 by TV Guide in the top 25 greatest teen idols.
"Rolling Stone Magazine" ranked Rick as the 91st "greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll artists" of all time.
The plane Rick was traveling in upon his death caught fire when an on-board heater short-circuiting and catching fire.
After Rick embarrassing appearance in wrong clothing to a performance, Rick came up with his hit “Garden Party”
At a Rock Revival concert all the performers were supposed to dress in the era clothes. Rick showed up to perform in his casual clothes. He was booed due to this.
