- Sweet was a popular 1970s British glam rock band.
- Sweet's origins go back to 1965, with UK soul band "Wainwright's Gentlemen", which included drummer Mick Tucker and vocalist Ian Gillan.
- In March 1971, "Funny Funny" became their first international hit, climbing to the Top 20 on man
- In May and June 2008, Sweet were part of the "Glitz Blitz & 70s Hitz" tour of the UK alongside The Rubettes and Showaddywaddy.y of the world's charts.
