Three Days Grace

  • Three Days Grace is a Canadian post-grunge band, formed under the name of Groundswell in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1992.
  • Originally a cover band, the trio named the band Three Days Grace. The meaning is derived from a sense of urgency as Adam Gontier explains: "We sort of look at Three Days Grace, as it sort of stands for sense of urgency. Time to pay a debt. If you had three days to change something in your life or if [you] wanted to changed something in your life, could you do it in three days?"
  • In 2004, Gavin Brown won a Juno Award for his production work on Three Days Grace and "Try Honesty" by Billy Talent.
  • On October 7, 2008, Adam Gontier lent his voice to Avaaz.org, along with other Canadian singers, in an effort to raise hope and awareness about Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper's stance on climate change.
  • In 2007, Gontier recorded a song called "I Don't Care" with the band Apocalyptica. During this time, the band also went on tour with bands Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Seether, Skillet, Nickelback, Hoobastank, Trapt, Puddle of Mudd, 3 Doors Down, Flyleaf, 12 Stones, Red, Econoline Crush, and many others.
