The bass line of the song was provided by Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers fame, with backing vocals sung by Stevie Wonder's studio background vocalist Crystal Blake.[citation needed] The breakdown came from a sampling of Dennis Coffey & The Detroit Guitar Band's Scorpio. Originally recorded on the Delicious Vinyl record label, it was re-issued by Rhino Records
  • Young returned to the spotlight in 2006 by appearing on VH1's Celebrity Fit Club 3. Young currently lives in Arizona and is still performing. "Bust A Move" has been used numerous times in commercials and films, as well as being a popular track in health club rotations.
