Joe Cocker And Jennifer Warnes

English rock/blues singer Joe Cocker collaborated with American singer-songwriter Jennifer Warnes on the hit single ‘Up Where We Belong”. Done for the 1982 film ‘An Officer and a Gentleman’, the Grammy Award-winning song was written by Jack Nitzsche, Buffy Sainte-Marie, and Will Jennings, and the single was certified platinum by the RIAA.

John Robert "Joe" Cocker (born 20 May 1944) is an English rock/blues singer who came to popularity in the 1960s.
He is most known for his gritty voice and his cover versions of popular songs, particularly those of The Beatles.
In 2007, Cocker appeared playing minor characters in the film, Across the Universe, as the lead singer on another Beatles hit, "Come Together".
